I’ve written so many of these kind of poems over the last few weeks (I can’t expand on why) that it made sense to put them in a substack of their own instead of tagging some cheery one about May (which I also wrote) randomly on the end.

Sad for your cat going l hope he's met a friend.Yes love is letting go.l like your poem about love.l use to believe in romantic love but reality bit .You have a way with words, and sadness ,there."Its better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all."l always liked good looking men that was my downfall. You learn more about yourself,if you are privileged to grow older and not as pretty as you once were.l don't have regrets.lts all water under the bridge. now.l once wrote a story and sent it to Woman's Own.It was more Cosmopolitan 😂. Keep your lovely poems going they are yours, Julie 🐦🐦🐦♥️x.

I think the cat will be back when Autumn comes and pickings dry up. People? Well they’re harder to predict aren’t they?

Love takes many forms. All are valid ❤️

I have learned that cats prefer their protein in other forms than the milk we drink. Not sure about cream though. Cats can be so funny and loving.

This particular cat loves milk. He always chooses the milk over the meat. Maybe it’s the quality of the cat meat🤷‍♀️

Sometimes I love the preamble as much as the poems. Probably the kindest words I’ve ever read. Better to have an expansive heart that lightly touches everything, even if sorrow is a constant.

Yes. The older I get, the more compassionate and philosophical about matters, I aspire to be.

Julie I love these poems. I felt them. Each one. The first is my favourite. Reminded me of Diana Ross singing touch me in the morning. The tender aching and burgeoning sorrow as grief grows within.

Thank you. That’s my favourite one too. Yes, that feeling of what’s to come 💔❤️

Thank you for sharing this. I've recently lost someone I cared about greatly because he decided to walk away from my life. I still care about him, and it still hurts. It might still for a while, but I'm slowly accepting it's how feelings go. Your first piece was especially touching, but they're all beautiful. ❤️

Sending love and strength to you. It is ‘just how feelings go’ sadly. So often they are jelly dressed as rock. We can’t control how others feel, sadly. Nor their actions.

Yes, l have experienced these endings with friendships, and the other version. Yes, this one was my favourite and the one under it. The name escapes me as l can’t see it while tapping here on the phone 🙃
