I love the natural setting of your latest pearl of wisdom. Those who have grown up in the age of social media may be forgiven for thinking that the feeling that everyone else has a better existence than us is a recent affliction - and, let’s face it, big tech has only exacerbated the scope of our lifestyle envy. But your imagery shows us that this has always been part of our nature for as long as we’ve walked the earth and as long as our neighbours have had Oxen to covet. Maybe we need this part of our nature to spur us on to pastures new, but it also risk us living a life without gratitude for what we’ve got. It’s something we have to balance within ourselves.
Or, as I look over the green grass on the horizon, I simply turn around and go home, happy and content with my own piece of sod, a little worn and not nearly as green as the grass on the other side, but that's okay, I'll fiddle around in the garden or sit in the rocking chair or go inside and make a pot of chicken and sausage gumbo. Yes, I think that's what I'll do. Go make some gumbo. Ummm, good.
Yes, it's better to Stop constantly reaching out ,it's tyring, just sit back and breath ,sit with yourself and accept yourself and be forever grateful, all will be well , aahhh
Pleasant & amusing to suppose umpteen peeps would prefer my grass to their own! Trouble is, I have the knack of leaving the poop just outside my every photo frame, probably in the sturdy belief things can only improve ;)

A lot of truth there.
That’s wonderful Julie. A great way to start the day. ❤️

Every day is what we make it!

Someone will always have more, have less, have it easier or more difficult.
Life is not fair but at least by being realistic rather than idealistic we don’t set ourselves up for failure.
