Yes, it just adapts and sadly as it dons new clothing people fail to recognise the old enemy. That may well be a future substack of mine actually 😂😂

Love this! I feel whenever you take a leap of faith this is the first fear that comes up! However it is short lived when the sharks in the ocean never show up!

Yes. I also left the idea of knights in shining armour/saviours/handsome princes and fairy godmothers behind a very long time ago. My mum was suicidally depressed for a large part of my childhood, I came to realise that, with even the best will in the world, the only person who can ever really look after and look out for me is me x

So true! While I’m no Olympian, I can manage a slow and steady swim on my own. I ditched the life rafts a few years ago x
