Charles should be paying for this extravaganza himself. At a time when many people are hard hit by the cost of living crisis and the exorbitant charges for utilities. Charles travels by private jet and helicopter but demands that us mortals do everything to combat the fake climate crisis as we charge forward to ‘net zero’ at great cost. I get so angry with it all.
At least countries like Jamaica are considering breaking free of the commonwealth. The more it all crumbles, hopefully the more hope there is of us abandoning it all too.🤞

The Queen was nothing more than a figurehead who brought in revenue from the tourists and kept out of politics. Although you can argue that the price we pay to keep the Royal machine oiled, with all the hangers on, outweighs that. My last memory of the Queen was her giving that awful speech on tv demanding that we all get jabbed.
I predict that Charles is the beginning of the end of the monarchy in the UK. I'm not sure that we'll get "Anarchy in the UK" after that, like Julie Dee aspires to, but who knows?
Absolutely agree! And strangely enough several people I’m aware of who bought the recents scams agree with you too. Even if they believe the monarchy is an inherently good thing, they don’t want this embarrassment. Problematically they believe Willy and the Stepford wife will be a better bet. We know differently.
People love image and veneer and certainly William and Kate look the part and would refresh things, rebrand.
But it’s surely about what’s behind the facade.

The idea that this chap is divinely ordained to rule baffles all rational thought. And that our constitution required our Prime Minister to ask Charles to become our king is ridiculous. Sorry, I’m starting to sputter....
