A friend of mine asked me to write a poem about Shetland where she lives. She moved a couple of years ago from England and she and her family adore it there. I welcomed the idea, as sometimes I get stuck for what to write about. So here it is. I had to keep looking at the words as I’d just finished it and have a rubbish memory.

I should add, I’ve never been there.
I wrote this piece based on what I know of her and her family and the fabulous videos and photos she posts of the glorious nature there.
I have been to Scotland though. I went last summer and will definitely be back.
