Melancholy maybe, but all pulsating with possibility. I imagine that those black dogs would turn tail and fade into the darkness as soon as you chose to show them your fire.

You out it then you shrink it, don’t you?

At least that’s my method :)

There exists no safe space for an imagination as rich as yours. The sub conscious will automatically repel the benign embrace of "cloth ears" for the desire to become rooted by interpretation. For loved ones to become aware of your work is progress. Your stage is all the more adorned with precious eyes upon you and will arguably lead to your most devastating poetry to date. Vulnerability can be the fiercest armour we own.

That’s so interesting because I have just published my latest piece which explores vulnerability and strength! Thank you.

We are all dark as well as light. I would argue that often it’s delving into the dark that stimulates deeper thought.

Yes, sometimes I think about maybe splitting up my ‘offerings’ into different substacks - one for political stuff, another for poems and one for musings/little stories/photos. That way people could just pick n mix as they wanted.

Keep things as they are imo. That way people won’t exclude things they might not choose but may enjoy when they stumble upon it.

Thanks Anthony. I usually get an unsubscriber after a poetry post and this was no exception. I expect it’s because I can be dark but I have to be true to myself.

Starting off the reading all chill and by the end I sound like an angry psycho 😂😂
