A litany of 'offers', 'discounts', and 'deals' usually awaits me in my email inbox. None of which I want to engage with, the delete button is wearing thin; finger erosion! Latterly, I have a different notification, telling me that Julie has published another piece. What a delight it's proving to be.

"the magic within this simple cycle of renewal can speak to you too"

Serendipity. Not a word I use a lot. But as life pulls and pushes, as it often does, I tend to look inward a little more than normal. Now is one of those times. I've been looking for answers within myself, to no avail. But these 13 words are everything I needed to hear and digest. Serendipitous.

Thank you, Julie. I don't want to get all mushy but you really have a very beautifully feminine way of expressing yourself. Something I don't see enough of in this (post) modern world. You are the dew to the parched flower.

Why thank you sir, what a beautifully detailed and considered comment.

That’s brought soft roses to my cheeks!

As you probably know, I don’t always express myself in this way. I have other coarser ways of expressing myself too sometimes, but yes when the mood takes me, I’m happy to let the feminine part of my character to the forefront.

The moon is meant to shine after all.

I’m enjoying reading through your poetry and prose all over again. This (both the poem and the preamble) really speaks to the way you take note of your surroundings, notice the feelings provoked in you, then encapsulate this into a form that lives beyond the immediacy of the moment. The photo with the sun ray is spectacular.

I love nature. It’s probably my favourite thing about life. It’s a backdrop, an ever changing scene.

And the nice thing is that it’s eternal, or so far anyway. Just gets on with it regardless of conditions so in that sense, very inspiring.

Yes, this is why the notion of “saving the planet” seems so comically arrogant. Like it needs us! We should treasure it in gratitude is all. Eternal so far is like what you said the other day - endless for now. Very wise. Nietzsche talked of this concept, Eternal Recurrence - there will always be, but it has to contain death and rebirth to work. Makes him a default Daoist IMO.

I like talking to Jehovah’s Witnesses when they call. I never send them away, but when they talk of their Utopian paradise (the garish pictures in which kids are stroking tigers) where no one ever dies - I ask them what about flowers? Will children not age? Will women no longer menstruate? Will there still be day and night? Will we still eat and go to the toilet? It is fun watching their gears grind as they contemplate how unlike life life would become without natural cycles.

Beautiful beautiful. Just as I commented on your previous post ... we’re all going through cycles of seasons, everything in nature. And with faith in the seasons each individual knows when to transition from one season to the next. Holding on and letting go ...

I find comfort in the mirrors nature constantly offers us. They remind us of the circles, the seasons, the point.
