I’m struggling to write at the moment.
It’s been a strange week, for various reasons.
I’m going to take a bit of a break from things on here. Regroup, as they say.
For now though, have a poem I wrote, about Snowdrops.
Snowdrops
The snowdrops dangled silver tears
Some said that it was dew
But I’ve broken my heart with them
So knew it wasn’t true
They huddle close as wounded doves
Bound to their fate by green
Stooping to ground in angel gowns
Their faces seldom seen
And no-one knows, for what they weep
The reason they should cry
Perhaps a frost they cannot keep
When winter says goodbye
They hang their heads so solemnly
Yet all most people say
Is “Oh! To see some snowdrops
Means that Spring is on the way!”

Lovely Julie. Please be sure that folks are thinking about you and will be happy to hear from you again in the future. Don’t leave us for too long. Xx
Sorry to hear you’ve been struggling to write. Thank you for sharing a beautiful poem. The ponderous nature of the petals is something I wouldn’t have noticed.
I hope your break eventually brings more signs of Spring. Hope Springs Eternal, and you are the mother of it.
