I hope you’ve enjoyed me recounting my brief experience of Ecuador as much as I have enjoyed telling it.

To anyone who ever bought me a coffee or took out a subscription, thank you so much btw because I drew out the money before I went and it helped me have the most amazing time there.

But to all of you, I very much appreciate you and hope I brought some of South America to life for you.

It is such a gift when you get so much out of it yourself and can convey that to others so vividly. I'm looking forward to your next trip!

I loved writing about it. So often I find myself writing about shitshow or downer poems. Felt nice to write about something uplifting and joyful. Travel is my passion.

That was lovely. And I completely agree on the difference between a traveller and a tourist. How did you not shush the bragger? The swing and your description was accurate and the colorful highway underpass was pretty! Ty for sharing!

Oh Julie, I've really enjoyed reading all about your adventure and I feel I've travelled with you!!! The place looks amazing and breathtaking!! You're very brave to travel alone so I admire you for that! I think that Texan woman would have got sparked out if I was stuck with her!!! So you did very well there! 😂😂😂😂 I love all your photos and the videos, they're like mini documentaries!!

Where we off to next...? ✨️ xx

Yeah they were a bit too long for Facebook I thought so just stuck em on here. I haven’t had a proper holiday alone for years so I wanted to capture everything I felt. How I made a week stretch to long 5 posts just shows how much I needed it. My senses were gagging for it 😂

Lord knows when the next one will be 😂

You’ve nailed that sense of homecoming. The food (and the mural) looks amazing and the cat made me smile.

The cat was called Valentina. I met lots of cats there. The place in Galápagos had one too, Suki.

I reckon you didn’t stay 2 metres away from Suki.

You would make a fantastic creative tour promoter. I now want to go to the Galápagos and The famous Teleférico 😉...

I can talk about travel all day long it’s my favourite thing.😂

Peter, you would love the zesty art and bold popping colour everywhere in Ecuador. It’s perfect for an artist like you.

Tourists irritate me overall. We tend to go to a lot of way-out places that are awkward to get to.

Yes, to be fair most of Quito wasn’t touristy at all it was just that was one of the most touristy places there.

And Galápagos limit the number of visitors and I deliberately picked one of the quieter islands.

Well what a wonderful ending to a fabulous trip. That swing looked amazing ( shame about the other tourists!).
