In summary my take is ‘don’t do it’ but if you are gonna do it, do it for the right reasons - having faith in something rather than fearing something worse.

What we lack is a credible opposition party. I don’t mean one that implements Agenda 2030 in 2031 or 2029, I mean one that says no to the whole Agenda.

One of the reasons I dislike the system itself is that it hinders the rise of anyone or anything that’s unbacked by rich donors with vested interests. How does anything even get off the ground in those conditions- without huge funding or publicity?

'' If voting matter, they wouldn't let us do it.'' Mark Twain

Government derives from Latin and translates as 'mind control'. A little clue in the word there.

Enjoyable and hilarious post, even though it's disturbingly true.

Thanks Julie

Cheers. Appreciate that. Yeah I think many of us are starting to wake up to the charade of it all. Not as many as I’d hope but little by little…..🤞

Well said Julie. After voting my entire life, as a good worker bee within the matrix, I will no longer legitimise the control system they’ve constructed. It’s a complete and utter sham. Politicians are just marionettes dancing to the tune of those higher up the ladder of power. We are only given the illusion of democracy through being allowed to change the crew of the ship but not its direction of travel.

Exactly. Even those who enter into it with good intentions will not be able to influence its direction as I believe it to be predetermined by WEF and the Davos set. Those with vested interests.

Like Kirsty I was a voter. Brought up by a union shop steward you can guess my leaning too. My daughter is called Emmeline (as in Pankhurst) in reverence to a strong woman and her daughters (and husband!) who fought for women to be able to vote.

If I go it will be to register a non vote - I have been told ‘I do not consent’ votes are recorded as such where a spoiled paper or no show is not, who knows.

Who knows? I have a postal vote but will just tear it up. It’s not just the parties I lack faith in but the system. I think we would be better fending for ourselves.

I agree, let’s face it it can’t really be any worse !

I am embarrassed to admit I have in the past put pressure on my family to vote. We would all go as a family to do our civic duty. How stupid do I feel now!?!

I am tempted to go along to mark the ballot " I do not consent ".

Tis all a bit waste of money

I used to believe in it too. I really believed that those who chose not to vote were ‘wasting their voice’ - all the naive, well trotted out lines.

No more.

I believe I make the biggest difference by not partaking at all and encouraging others to do the same.

The quiet parts out loud, Julie. 👍 We probably go farther with self governance than always needing the externals. Not espousing anarchy, but responsibility.

Wow ! I love it. Right up my ally. So many great observations.Along with allot of statements and info about voting, I wrote a poem also . Aren't you glad you voted?

I'm so glad the election is over

And people can be happy with their vote

I'm sure things will all be cured now

We'll watch the news and take note

Since we voted and got our man

we can relax for four more years

And since our man will fulfill all promises

we'll be smiling from ear to ear

Now I'm sure.

National debt will disappear

ocean pollution will cease

The ozone layer will be healed

pain from old age will ease

All our soldiers will come home

all prisoners will repent

homes will now be affordable to all

and we will all earn more than we spent

cancer treatments will be needed no more

the common cold will be cured

all our enemies will become our friends

good will come for all we endured

All of this because we voted

I'm sure it will all come true

We just have to put our trust in a man

And all will go well for me and you

But wait a minute did we get promises before

Were they kept or were we duped

After years of voting for a new one to help

I'm literally getting pooped.

After all the promises last time around

and many many before that

The cures of all our maladies

have done nothing but simply scat

The world isn't better or safer today

than back 10,20,30 years or more

We have more problems to deal with now

and they are multiplying shore to shore

close to 50 per cent get the leader they choose

close to 50 percent do not

should a country always be divided

couldn't we all reach goals we sought

Voting for another man for a fix

seems stupid, have we not learned

Man dominates his fellow man

and doesn't fulfill what we have yearned

Now since you voted him in

You can stand up and take the blame

When your chosen leader shows his colors

And stands in front of you in shame.

I heard it said that God is king

if so i'm sure he'd not be involved

In the slanderous kind of election

that our system has evolved

Apologies for not commenting sooner on this interesting subject. I’m in two minds. I definitely agree that voting for any of the main parties only gives the illusion of democracy and means that you’re willingly participating in a charade - but I also think the powers that be are all too happy to promote apathy and would jump at any chance to digitally “reform” elections because no one seems interested enough in ballot papers.

The fact is, the majority of people don’t vote, so it is not the norm, even factoring in those under 18 who can’t participate. If the elites really wanted us to vote, they’d push it as hard as vaccines, smart meters and carbon zero.

I couldn’t help but notice the media panic around Corbyn, Trump and Brexit. They obviously haven’t got things as tightly sewn up as they like (although they’ll always have a plan B, C and D if the people vote “wrongly”). The WHO pandemic treaty now seems dead in the water, and that must be due to grass roots pressure exerted on political representatives across the member states.

So I’ll be voting, but only for candidates who unequivocally stand for freedom and against corruption, which I’m aware may be few and far between.

I think the main thing, is to do whatever you do consciously rather than blindly or feeling under duress. Make a conscious choice either to vote (if you believe it to be right) or not to. In these unhinged times, it’s easy to host all sorts of possible scenarios about what may or may not happen if ‘they’ get in. Whoever the bogeyman du jour is.

I’m 70, and in my lifetime here in America I’ve not seen one President hold up to their promises. Trump did - sort of, but then everyone hated him. For me, voting has been a waste of my time. Imagine if no one voted, then what would they do! 🤔

I write this, risking being flamed by someone, as voting is a big part of tge American cultural landscape.

It’s the same in the UK. The culture. Admit to not voting and you are immediately seen either as a fool who ‘doesn’t understand’ or lazy/apathetic. You are someone who is letting the side down.

🙄The usual guilt trips are trotted out - women died for the vote, soldiers in WW2 etc but I honestly think if some of those people were here today they’d feel the same way I do when they saw how things have become.

I did vote for many years but the Convid debacle for me showed the illusion of choice up for what it is.

Expand full comment

There is no choice, there is just the illusion of choice. In Magic there is a tree called an equivoque. Or a method used by magicians on their audience to make them feel they have made a choice when in fact they haven’t made a choice. The choice has been forced on them. It’s all an illusion. I see that technique used to the general public in many instances but especially it’s apparent in the voting system.

The reason they want us to vote is because if we didn’t their entire illusion would fall apart. That’s my opinion anyway.

Can we count on your vote then Julie? 🤣 For my first time, I’m merely a spectator of the shit show but I feel liberated in the knowledge that the election is a pretence.

In some cities and states and countries elections seem to make a difference. Not where I live. The city and the state and the country are all rigged. It's most blatant at the city level where the council openly kicks out new members who don't follow the line, and then appoints its own choice. At the state and federal levels the rigging happens earlier, as unacceptable candidates are defunded and deplatformed by the parties before the "vote", guaranteeing pure uniform orthodoxy in all available "choices".

The activists who worry about Voter ID or miscounting are INTENTIONALLY distracting us from the real rig. It doesn't matter who "votes" or how the "votes" are counted. By that tijme it's all guaranteed.

So many people now distrust the process. What happened at the last US election, founded or not, whichever camp you’re in - must have massively dinted faith in the way votes are counted and what could go wrong.

I used to feel that way before Trump became President. He opened my eyes to so many things, actually EVERYTHING you're taking about. I'm a conservative which means "smaller government ", and I'm just waiting for him to get back in and make it a reality.

I believe mainstream politicians to be largely the same, in terms of leading their country to globalisation and greater Big Pharma intervention.

But if you truly believe in both the US political system and Trump’s vision for you and your countrymen, then voting for someone because of your faith in them has to be better than half heartedly nodding along because you fear a worse outcome.

I have never suffered the illusion that politicians were anything other than corruptible humans feasting on power. "Drunk on power" is not just a metaphor. In fact it is "high on dopamine" since the exercise of power releases that feel good chemical into the brain. So at election time we are faced with yet another set of addicts willing to say and do almost anything to secure that next hit.

But my loathing of politicians is tempered at election time. I remind myself that there were soldiers who fought world wars against totalitarians so I could enjoy my freedom, including having a say in who governs. While I realize our freedoms are eroding, I still feel that obligation to vote because people died so I could.

I find it ironic that the deaths of those soldiers, who died with good intentions - as did the women who threw themselves under horses and the like - are now used to subjugate others.
