It’s easy to spread any old shit just to get likes or attention. It only takes a few minutes to question something a little more deeply. We can’t call ourselves ‘critical thinkers’ if we don’t apply it.
Totally agree. During the worst part of lockdown, someone shared a photo of a very official looking poster in Ireland encouraging people to inform on their neighbours etc. I did some digging and found that it was false. The scary thing is, quite a high production value went into that for seemingly no other reason that to discredit lockdown sceptics. The 77th Brigade is very real.
Yes people on Facebook and Twitter are quick to ask for sources but, more frustratingly, they don’t bother to read them when you politely do the legwork for them.

Yes, there are very real groups of people whose motive is to make us look like idiots and sadly, very often they manage to achieve this.
Yeah we all need a reminder especially in the periods of growing tension.
