Thank you. Today is a one year anniversary of something bad that happened to me, that made me feel very vulnerable. Your poems always make me feel less so, I think because there is so often that feeling you convey of connection to something bigger than ourselves. As much as that feeling can make us feel small, it also reminds us that we are not alone.

Thank you. Parallels can be found everywhere. Both in the experience of other people and nature, books, music, art. Some people maybe don’t see them, or don’t want to. But as you say, actually it’s a comfort to remember that they are patterns that repeat the world over.

Every poem resonates with me, knowing the extent of them in my own life. But then you’ve got to pick yourself up and carry on for the friends we lost aren’t coming back, and the film is on a loop, showing images of years gone by.

You can never step into the same river twice because the water of earlier footsteps has flowed past and every next step means fresh water. You can see it in the distance but no more than that.

Lovely poetry, Julie 💙💫🤗🥰

Thank you. Yes, I wrote that one yesterday. That feeling of having nothing to hide behind in the blaze of the sun. I suppose it’s like a compulsory purge in a way isn’t it. Love to you x
