Wise words and beautiful pictures. A lesser mind would not have been able to resist the puns - Fence Post or Taking Offence!
There was something stirring in what you said. I thought immediately of Labi Siffre - "The higher you build your barriers, the taller I become. The further you take my rights away, the faster I will run."
That's funny/interestingly I'm similarly drawn to and take photos of dry stone walls, and painted one from memory in oil, I've not painted for years but it was a surprise to me how I love these walls and how good it turned out, but been too scared to paint another in case it wasn't as good as the first
What a beautiful perspective! The words as well as images. I've been drawn in my photography to reflections, textures, and things emerging from mist or fog. It might be worth investigating why this is.

Yes plenty of titles available for this piece!😂
I think some of us feel being penned in - or resist the threat of it - more than others.
The last few years really shone a light on that.
Penned in. The last few years.
It’s been evil.
Railing against that has revealed strengths I never knew I had.
Indeed and we’ve all made many new like minded friends too. Let those things be the positives xx
Yes! Excellent points.

Oh you should try, Anita!
If it’s not as good just blame it on the wall not being as characterful as the first😉😘
Oooh Julie, I love this post! I love these photos and your process and what you learned from this series!
Well that’s a great compliment from an amazing photographer. Many thanks. Xx
You're photos are stunning! You have a great eye! It's all about the eye!
I wholeheartedly agree with Pamela Leavey’s comments. Wonderful compositions and philosophical insights. Plus a fabulous title to boot!
Thank you. It’s the first time I’ve done a sort of ‘photo post’. I’ll bear that in mind for the future.
Lovely! With me it's gates and stiles.
Oh i do that too 😂😂
That’s a whole different post😂😂

Absolutely! Yes always ask why, hey?
Beautiful photos julie..
One thing that cheered me up during covid, seeing your photos on twitter of your fearless adventures x
There was something about that era that made me want to live all the larger, dress up all the more, smile that little bit more like a crazy lady😂😂
When it’s darkest, the world needs its brightest lights 🥰
We all helped each other ❤️
Definitely Julie.. x
Thank you xx
