Oh I loved this! A truly gorgeous story of not judging by the cover and not assuming we are being judged. Vulnerability in a friendship, when shared and respected, is a precious thing.
Love this post Julie. What a delightful friend you have. It's nice to have a variety of friends in your life. From different times and different places. Treasure them all. All the best.
I consider myself very lucky as far as friends are concerned. I have a decent number of them and they all bring something different to the table. #blessed
Another great read Julie. Good friends are a treasure, especially those who you can just pick up where you left off, the ones who accept you for who you are. I hope her work problems are resolved. Nothing more designed to drive you to despair than to dread going to work. xx
Yes, we go back maybe 18 years or so. Quite a while. I usually catch up with her at her place once or twice a year. It’s good when you can do that, just pick back up where you left off.
Oh Julie, I love this. The glamour of authenticity. Of wearing your heart on your sleeve.
Hope you're doing well. Our little holiday is going good. Sitting outside the trailer today on a down day - husband napping, dogs napping and me doing a bit of catchup. The weather finally turned Spring-like and not scorching, as it began. Food everywhere is truly exceptional and I got to use my camera on something different! Very grateful. Listening to Michael McDonald on the little boombox :) Perfect. Sending you a big hug. oxox
Yesss! lol. Yacht Rock on the Spotify! How’d you know?
and that’s it — a total reset of creativity. More to think about. Honestly, Sedona is a madhouse — so we drove, pulled over, awed the scenery, and got lucky not hitting too much traffic. It’s very, very commercial in the main portions of town - but for the visually inclined, writer, etc., getting away from that is best. The rocks are as if a big hand dipped into a sea bucket, full of red clay and poured sand castles everywhere. Never seen anything like it. (might have to write that)
No one is perfect and I like people who like me and accept me for who l am ,as l do them. We are all different, and people who are pleased to see me cheer me up 😊 up x.
For anyone who has ever met me, I have two distinct modes - dress to be seen or dress to hide away😂😂

I am an open book so i think the upside is that it encourages others to do the same.
So touching. We’re all human. We all have our cross (or several) to bear. Glamorous friend is lucky to know you - and vice versa.
Thank you Christian. Yes by the time we get to our sort of age we all have a few scars eh?
Loved reading this. We all have that posh/ flash mate 😅😂
Aww thank you :)

Absolutely agree. She is very funny. Always makes me smile. If you can share your woes and have a laugh then that’s all you want from a friend really.
