I Kissed A Day
.
I kissed a day, it touched my skin
Let half light bend and enter in
Invited hours to gently roll
Pink pearls to stimulate my soul
Ploughed frowning cloud, to source a trace
Of lavender, to trail my face
.
Wore cold as gold, and grey my fur
This day and I, a seamless blur
Dancing deftly, toe to toe
Each mood day held, I got to know
Inhaled its air as welcome cleanse
Saw rain, fine wine through poet’s lens
.
Tilted my neck, relaxed my eyes
Heard only song of choral skies
The beat of droplets, hymn of bird
Mammal sermon, feral word
Filled senses high with all I lack
I kissed a day…..It kissed me back
The photo is my own although I didn’t take it today.
