Oh no Julie don’t you dare disappear! Twatter is not the same without you, we really miss you so having you here on Substack is, quite frankly, essential. So please believe you light up our lives with your wise, well crafted words. As you say, you and selected others, have been better friends to many of us than our real life friends who have fallen for the treachery.
Don't give up on the Substack Julie, please. Your writings, ramblings, poems & views are really appreciated. You inspire me to write.....it took me far too long to get my up and running but when I did one of the pieces 'Two Pieces of Advice' was inspired by you and I quoted your advice to me.
Of course, you do what you feel is right and I appreciate that Twitter was community for you(all of us) and no this is not a platform for that similar kind of interaction, engagement or connection but this is a community here too. A very valuable one, one where you can write freely and people choose to come here especially for you...you are integral part of my substack community and I would be very saddened to see it come to an end.
Wow. Can’t believe they upheld your suspension! What about the saviour of free speech coming to save twitter then eh? 🙄 From what I’ve heard the platform is no longer the same place we remember sadly and that sense of community has sadly disappeared anyway. I truly hope you continue writing your substacks though, they are a breath of fresh air in this crazy world and I smile and look forward to reading them when I see them appear in my inbox. I do understand though you don’t feel you are getting enough back from the platform. I’m only really using Instagram and Substack myself now, they don’t quite have the same camaraderie as Twitter but remain positive outlets for me to express myself and are good for my mental health. Twitter had become a toxic place for me before my suspension so I won’t be appealing it and seeking to re-activate my account. x
Yes there are a few on here I follow who I used to be mates with on Twitter - The Drift (he was Army of Shadows on there) has just started a substack so I subscribed to that. A few others too but they are mainly using the notes facility.
Who knows? It’s insane all of it. I always said what I meant and used choice words but when you think of what is permitted on there - particularly sexualised stuff - the drag queens targeting little kids and things like that, it’s sickening that my tweets would get me banned. They were quite tame on a grand scale, really.

Thanks lovely x
Thinking to stick this on twitter tomorrow on your banniversary with your handle tagged in and another #reinstate ...be so good to have you back 🙏👊
I don’t think it will make any difference tbh Robert. Some days I just don’t see the point anymore. Of even keeping this Substack.
I miss the connection I had with everyone. For me Twitter was community above all else.

I like writing but it’s lonely.
On Twitter I could just have a laugh, you know? Have fun.
That’s what I want from life above everything. To enjoy myself and connect with others.
I’ll find my way, I’m just having a moment. :)
Well it's done and doing the rounds....if nothing happens at least we tried....again my friend 🙏
Have as many moments as you need 🙏❤
Cheers, mate
Thanks Viv. I appreciate you saying that. Feel utterly fed up with it all today. :)

On we go eh? :)
Yes I remember your situation and it was nasty what happened. X
Yes the first one went in February. The second one in April I believe and then by July it just got silly so I packed it in.
Yes every appeal (I tried about 3 times).
I was more hopeful of this recent one as it was to be appealed under new criteria apparently but alas, no.
