Without sounding like a proper hippie cheesemeister, I’ve always thought owls to be my spirit animal, if I have one.

I think it’s the way they have the skill of seeing both good overview and fine detail.

Beautiful! I'm fascinated by owls too (but shamefully still in bed at 10.25 am!)

Oh how lovely!!

We often hear an owl up in our oak tree but we've never seen him. I'd love to get some photos or video footage of him!

Well it’s hardly Attenborough shit is it? But hey, I expect he has more than his iphone innit?😂😂

How nice! Always a thrill to see an owl. I’m a townie and don’t have so many opportunities but each encounter is etched in my memory. The owls seem to study me for a moment as we briefly lock eyes; I gaze with excitement and the owl stares back unperturbed. 🦉

I don’t think I’d even seen one til I moved here but they’re a regular occurrence now. But always so welcome.

Definitely an ethereal quality to these birds. Owls have their share of symbolism to start with but to experience these ghostly white visitations is surely icing on your crepuscular cake.

Self possessed birds, don’t fly in flocks, what’s not to love? 😉

How beautiful. What a wonderful landscape you have on your doorstep. I long to live with a view. Sadly only houses surrounding me.

It normally looks a lot nicer than this but it’s a grim day today. Yes I’m definitely lucky, I have great views from here and love being among the wonderful wildlife.

I remember being out walking near here and there must have been about 30 deer on the path infront of us. Within seconds they'd disappeared. So graceful and silent.

How enchanting! First time I saw one round here, it was in a field, at first I thought someone had let a big dog off the lead. Then I noticed the tail and clicked.
