Be PROUD not to vote today.
That’s right.
PROUD.
PROUD to no longer contribute to holding up this sorry circus they call ‘democracy’. The same ‘democracy’ that brought us lockdowns, and forced carers into taking jabs they didn’t want or risk losing their jobs.
The ‘democracy’ that supports the parasites that are The Royal Family.
Yeah…..THAT ‘democracy’.
Be PROUD not to vote!
Strut your decision like a peacock shows his feathers, strong, firm and bold.
Ruffle them!
Voice your reasons.
Flex them like muscles when people ask you your intention. Feel your reasoning sharpen and your resistance to the same old bullshit strengthen as you do.
Be PROUD not to have been coerced or scared into engaging with a system you don’t believe in. A system that has let you down with broken promises YOUR ENTIRE LIFE.
Be PROUD to have remembered, that despite their waffle, there are still wars, poverty, inequality.
Be PROUD not to be bullied by relentless propaganda, swayed by fear.
Be PROUD you didn’t buy into the guilt trips; that ‘soldiers fought’ and ‘women died’. They fought for and died for something better than the wasteland we currently have, that’s for sure.
Be PROUD you were not taken in by the latest fool’s hero. To have realised you are your own saviour.
Be PROUD to have no political identity, to have rejected their narrow minded paradigms, their proven pathways of pain.
Be PROUD to have flipped the script, to have realised that by voting, you GIVE AWAY your own power.
Be PROUD that in five weeks, months or years, you will have the satisfaction you played NO PART in any of it. The new boss who will be same as the old boss. The corrupt donations, the bought think tanks and quangos behind the scenes.
On the 4th July, be PROUD to be making a rational, informed choice - the complete opposite to the ignorance and apathy you will be accused of.
What ‘they’ think doesn’t matter.
You have made an active choice to leave behind the legacy system. The old rituals that do not serve a new consciousness.
Be PROUD to be a non voter.
I wanted to write something on this today, not to sway anyone but rather to affirm a very valid choice.
The ‘not voting’ thing still holds a certain amount of stigma. A shame.
I wanted people who feel similarly to me, to feel better equipped in articulating their decision and argument when others ask them, to feel confident and happy in voicing their choice when engaging with others.
There is also a feeling amongst many of wanting to ‘show them’ - but ‘they’ are still establishment aren’t they?
Doesn’t an adult just leave the room instead of continuing to engage? For me it’s like a toxic relationship.
But all that said, we must all do as we see fit, vote or not vote. Spoil a ballot or tear the thing up.
And more importantly, we must remain able to express and discuss our choice in a civil way. That is where growth lies. As always. ❤️
And yeah I’m gonna stick that on my window. Spread the word! So others see it and don’t feel shamed or stupid.
