These are wonderful and it surprises me that there is so much of your work I seemed to have missed the first time around. Musical allusions seemed to leap out at me, starting with “mending (fixing) a hole” straight after a photo of the Fab Four. Then there was a reference to tapestry and chain of fools - and a couplet that suggested both Led Zeppelin and and Iron Maiden (shook at night, run to the hills), but maybe I was looking too hard for it by then. There was also a very rhythmic sensibility that suggested the constant churning of your thoughts as you try to process them - but always working towards resolution, never quite lost or in stasis.

Thanks. I’ve been full of a cold this week and just feeling a bit rough, so not been active on here as much last few days. I am in the process of trying to put everything in some sort of order/categories but it is taking forever. A very dull job. About 75% of the way through now. 🤞

Hope you feel better soon. I’d imagine that some of your stuff resists easy categorisation, especially where you segued preamble prose into poetry. The funny thing about dull jobs, they’re great when they’re helping you avoid the things you really don’t want to do but when they become the chore themselves, it’s a whole new level of tedium.

Yes - I found as I began that there are a lot of overlaps and posts I ended up placing in two or even three categories…. but had to start somewhere, you know? Was getting out of hand - I had 262 posts and it would have been tricky for someone new to navigate.

Yes, since son started at the school and is mixing with other kids rather than being in a room alone, one of the down sides is he’s bringing home every bug under the sun! Oh well. At least he’s happier:)
