“From a vet”
The post said. No name.
Classy AF already, right?
Don’t you just love those posts that start ‘anonymous’?
You’re already thinking;
“Oh……so YOU don’t have the balls to put YOUR name to something you want to convince ME of ”
And then, it went on along the lines of;
“Imagine being us, having to put down healthy XL Bullies because of a government directive…..”
Aww…….yeah…..imagine being them and having to….
Woah! Wait a minute……
Can I get a reeeeewind?
What’s that you say…..
“Having to”
You DON’T get a choice?
Ah….I see…..You DO have a choice.
And when it comes down to it, YOU are going to choose your comfortable life and not rocking the boat over asserting yourself on this matter, right?
The post then went on asking people not to ‘judge’, that they would be with these animals in their final moments as they reassured them, stroked them, told them they had done nothing wrong…….before wilfully injecting them with something that would make them die.
Pass the sick bucket.
OF COURSE I’m going to judge you!
And more importantly YOU should judge you!
This post isn’t about XL Bullies by the way. I personally disagree with them being euthanised but I accept people will have different views.
It’s a post about about not having the courage to stand up for your own principles.
Trying to outsource your conscience.
What the actual fuck?
You don’t barter down your morals like you’re buying shit from a carboot sale.
No!
How many times did we see this happen during the so-called ‘pandemic’? People going along with stuff they were unhappy with to save their own neck.
Police officers crashing birthday parties?
Council officials taping off playgrounds?
People blindly following orders, against what they knew in their heart to be wrong!
Here’s your dilemma. Pure and simple.
It’s comfort over discomfort.
It’s money over no money.
A job or possibly no job.
THAT’S how it is.
But let’s NEVER pretend we have NO choice.
Unless there’s someone marching behind you forcing your arm up behind your back, I don’t want to hear it.
Whatever the issue is - you speak out and you SAY NO.
Refuse to do the thing you disagree with.
You accept there may be consequences for taking the position you have, and you stand by that.
The reward?
It’s NOT FEELING LIKE A CUNT.
That’s it. It’s enough. Underrated.
But it feels good. Try it!
And if everyone did, imagine what a nicer, more honest place the world would be.
I had the choice when I was a face painter to carry on my business dressed one step away from Bertie the fucking bee keeper or not doing it.
I would not, COULD NOT do it.
We will all feel differently about things.
And that’s fine. But please stop blaming other people higher up *the chain* for what YOU are personally effecting.
No-one feels sorry for you.
We see you for what you are.
A facilitator. An accessory.
You give the operation wings.
Whatever dirty work government wants carrying out, goes NOWHERE without your compliance.
If you’re going to do it - whatever IT is - at least own it.
Kill the XL bully.
Inject the child.
Do *the controversial thing*.
Or don’t……
No-one feels sorry for you.
No-one cares how hard it is for you.
War atrocities were committed on the backs of people *not really* wanting to press buttons and feeling *slightly uncomfortable* about lowering levers.
*Not liking* it.
Not wanting to upset the boss.
You ARE the boss.
Of something way more important than any employment you undertake. Of your own life. What you contribute to the human race.
Now grow yourself a backbone, a pair of bollocks, whatever you want to call it and be true to yourself.
Or
Shut the fuck up whining.
Got it?
Good!
It's been so depressing watching most people pass under the sorting hat as Asch positive. We cannot kid ourselves any more. This country would have behaved exactly like the Germans under the Nazis if we had been living under a fascist government in the 1930's. There would have been the same concentration camp guards and SS officers. Most people conform. Most people are not brave. Most people would trample over the elderly and children to get to a lifeboat first. Thank god for the few.
Principles are important - I mean, it’s right there in the actual word. But not enough people get it. Even the people who are supposed to live by a code - vets; doctors; nurses; police; priests - they continue to obediently roll over when instructed to, putting protocol over principle.
