Do you remember when you stopped believing?
How old were you?
8? 11? 42?
When did you realise that the story you’d put faith in your whole life, was nothing more than an elaborate hoax to add sparkle to a long dark winter, with the bonus of getting you to behave?
Yes…..I admit…..I, too, once believed that Britain was a free country.
Dumb, I know……
I was young, inexperienced, naive….
The packages looked so glossy, the adults smiled, said happy things I liked hearing.
I was dazzled….
I truly thought ‘the establishment’ was a legitimate force for change… good, even…..but that like your Aunty Jean after one too many Cherry Brandys, perhaps things had just gone a little off-course.
I even had the (*snigger*) stupid notion that I - little 'ole me - could influence it in some way!
I know, I know….
When MP’s asked me to complete their ‘consultations’, attend their surgeries, email them……I actually did.
Gave them my ‘list’.
Wasn’t massive.
Didn’t want a big house, lots of money, *stuff*….
In fact, I’ll bet you and I probably had the exact same list!
Simple things, the basics.
For everyone to have a warm, safe home, enough to eat.
An efficient health service, sound education system, thriving high street.
Decent paying jobs that enabled families to not only ‘survive’ but thrive - afford a holiday once a year.
A level of tolerance that whilst acknowledging individual difference - did not insist I conform to views I don’t hold or else have my rights curtailed.
“But that’s just not how it works, Julie”
A fake looking fella in a suit said.
He was fumbling around in the dark with a sack of lightweight looking shiny shit, said his name was ‘Rishi’, (or was it ‘Boris’? ‘Liz’? Hell! They all sound the same!)
“First, we have to pay for the monarchy, a war in another country, vaccine programs, implementing ideologies…….Important stuff. YOU need to be a little more realistic with your list…….You’re extremely lucky to even have us looking after you…..in some poor countries people are much worse off….they don’t get to choose who spends their money….”
Hmm…. I thought on this but as with Santa, after a while, all I had was more question. ....for example;
How come it’s fine for rich guys to fly thousands of miles to Qatar for the World Cup yet residents of Oxford will be fined for straying from their ‘zone’?
And……
How come energy companies are allowed to make massive profits whilst the elderly are expected to go and sit in the local library to keep warm? To choose between heating and eating?
And ACTUALLY, Mr Sunak……
Why does a ‘nice’ billionaire like YOU let this happen? On your watch?
How come YOU get to make decisions about issues affecting people LIKE ME when you’ve never had to make those choices yourself?
“Hmm….well….. only clever, wealthy people understand. That’s why you elect us, to make complicated decisions that are too tricky for you…..BUT……there’s a really fun documentary on Netflix about Meghan Markle I think you’ll like. She’s JUST like you….…normal, feels hard done by….. Well, kind of…..if you were a rich actress who married a prince and didn’t have white privilege…”
Woah…Stop right there! I have more questions, Mr Satan, I mean Santa….damn it I meant Sunak!
If you’re supposed to represent Britain, how come the policies and slogans are almost identical to those of many other countries- digital identity and currency, ‘build back better’, globalisation?
Silence?
Really?
Hmm….
And so, I pondered some more.
When as kids, we first explore the possibility Santa may not exist, we are confused, overwhelmed. We want to believe because it’s a sweet story. But something niggles. You can’t put your finger on it…..
The thing that always got me most was the scale of the lie. Surely everyone couldn’t be in on it? But then, you find out - yes - the entire world was peddling a lie- including those you loved, trusted.
Well, it’s the same with the systems we live within as adults. We can’t conceive of a lie so huge because of the agreement it would take to pull it off - the syncing of high profile individuals and institutions we have faith in, the shared scripts.
Evidence mounts and you see, once again, that your instincts were right - they were all in on it. The media, Big Pharma, Big Tech….You weren’t imagining it when things felt off, when you asked those awkward questions that were glossed over rather too quickly……
You realise that although Mr Claus doesn’t exist, Klaus (Mr Schwab) is very real. He and his WEF elves of doom are beavering away in a virtual workshop right now to steal your childrens’ future. It’ll take more than a cheeky mince pie and a sherry to satisfy their appetite - they’re hungry for money, freedom, data.
I wouldn’t bother keeping the lights on the front porch. It’s not his bag - so last decade….doesn’t show you’re supporting Ukraine, not very ‘green’…..
Don’t leave a carrot either. Klaus and co have plenty already but they’ll keep them for dangling…… money towards a heat pump, anyone? Privilege of visiting certain countries for the jabbed?
Once you become aware of the level of corruption, the enormity of the scam, it’s natural to want to scream it from the rooftops, tell everyone. But no sooner have you opened your mouth, you’re told you’re a liar, that you’re spoiling it for others - because people want to believe nice things even if they’re untrue…..hello?
Listen - you’re not sparing your little sister’s feelings here. This shit is real. It’s big. It will affect the future of humanity. It’s gathering pace and once you see it, you MUST speak out, you MUST put those difficult questions on the table so others can discover the truth for themselves.
There are so many parallels with ‘the Santa lie’ and deep state. Through songs and gimmicks such as ‘Elf on the Shelf’, we train our kids to honour the patterns that enslave them as grown ups.
“He knows if you’ve been bad or good so be good for goodness sake” could be straight from Xi’s CCP social credit playbook.
I was a good, good girl for a long, long time .
I voted, paid taxes, upheld the law but somehow the stuff my friends and I want, just isn’t being delivered.
And as with Santa, one day it struck me that I don’t need these figures of misplaced hope. They are simply a diversion.
There is no-one in a suit be it red - or grey - who’s gonna make it right.
It’s high time we stopped pinning hope on strangers - whether they be politicians, royals, celebrities…..
We must see past the illusions.
I am reminded of the story of the Snow Queen in which a little girl ‘Gerda’ saves her friend ‘Kai’ from the shards of evil that have been placed in his heart by a dark, cold force.
The character ‘Kai’ represents humanity right now. Our hearts have been deliberately pierced with shards that make us see the worst in others. We are actively corralled into groups of ‘us’ and ‘them’, to hate on each other, blame….
People in low paid jobs are encouraged to demonise those on benefits, those who are vaccinated egged on to turn on those who aren’t (and vice versa), those who strike are held up as the enemy of those who depend upon the service they withhold.
All, as more and more so-called ‘leaders’ are elevated to assist and accelerate this process of fragmentation.
There is much talk of ‘bread and circuses’ but for the most part, this is a theatre of pain. It distracts with new horror and fear. Each new act surpasses the last with its cruelty, it wounds that bit deeper.
All, as we, a society, are still trying to heal.
We still hurt massively from the last attack.
We still cry.
What happens when no space is offered to recover?
We grow weaker.
The confusion means we distrust each other further and the cycle repeats.
Gerda in ‘The Snow Queen’ offers hope in what can be the only answer.
Courage and compassion.
At first she thinks she is a lone voice but soon finds others who understand, who help. As with ousting a thorn from the paw of a lion, the bad can only be removed by building trust and bridges, going further than the others. Only when those shards that had us turning on our fellow man are removed, can we see that the true villains have been sitting pretty, lording it over us with hearts of pure ice.
Gerda learns that nobody will come to her rescue.
Except, one…..the one who was always there.
Everyone goes wild for Mariah this time of year, don’t they? So I thought it only right that she has the last word.
Before she made a mint from Christmas, Ms Carey once had some sound words of advice.
“When you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
….a hero lies in you”
Absolutely magnificent, Julie. I've always had a saying – "if it's to be, it's up to me!" and I'm sticking by that. Let them do their worst, we are sovereign beings. I hope you and the family have a wonderful Christmas xx
Superb as usual Julie, hitting the nail on the head with the Santa analogy as I’ve spent the last couple of years trying to convince folk about what’s going on only to run Ito the “ but all the governments in the world can’t be wrong “ attitude.
The crows will come to roost, hopefully it won’t be too late.
