Good work. Breaking a barrier generally happens smoothly and almost accidentally, at a time when you're distracted from the obstacles. "Huh? Oh! I just did it? Yes!! "
This made me remember the time my brother was teaching me how to ride the bicycle. He would hold the back for me so that I wouldn't fall. And then after some time, he let me go and started running beside me. I fell due to shock but also realized that I could ride the cycle without him holding it now.
What a lovely story. It's true if you surround yourself with hopeful positive energy, it can be contagious ✨🙌🏻 Cheers to your son & good luck to you! ox
This resonates Julie, literally and figuratively! Im 51 and only learnt to swim in adulthood. Although I am capable, there is something about the deep end that triggers my anxiety. In life its best to resist from overthinking, and trust in your abilities, but it's often easier said than done 🙄
I hear you and well done learning to swim as an adult. That must have taken great determination/motivation. Yes I am nearly 50 and haven’t been snorkelling. Soon to be rectified. I WILL go out of my comfort zone!! ☺️
I hesitate to share this but... the first time I did it...I did freak myself out about eels.🤦♀️But even then it's indescribable. My husband is a scuba diver who dove with sharks, no cage, and captured it on video. So in 2018 we went on a cruise and decided to snorkel in Honduras. I literally swam by a reef where a nurse shark was napping in the reef and I was excited to kind of be like my hubby. It's really cool. You won't regret it and it's an experience you won't forget. All wildlife is afraid of us, you don't need to worry. Sorry for the novel I'm just excited for you!🤷♀️
Reminds me of the Corp. Jump in off the high dive; boots and Utes (Full uniform) tread water and test your grit...which also reminded me of the Lake as a kid and my reward of being with the grown-ups. Keep them coming Dee 🤙🏽

Very nicely done and I love your closing. Thank you, Julie. My day is much brighter! 😊
Lovely to know you :)
Awww, thank you. I've enjoyed 'meeting' you, as well.

I think so, yes. It becomes your lucky charm ☺️
What a major accomplishment that was… you must be so proud of your boy, Julie. Well done! 👏👏👏
Yes Joyce, I’d been a bit fed up and it made my day actually.☺️
Have a lovely weekend, Julie 💙🙏🌿💫
You too lovely x
Thanks Julie xoxo

This is a nice story of hope and courage. Good job mom! And may you snorkel like a champ on your upcoming trip!
Thank you lovely. I’ll certainly give it my best shot!

Aww thank you. I’m excited for it too. I am going to Galápagos and there is supposed to be such an abundance of wildlife/marine life there ❤️
Lovely to hear. I can just imagine how chuffed you must have been.
I was very happy for him. Felt like he’d transcended something and so naturally. ☺️

Yes when I was a kid they used to test us by having us wear pyjamas in the pool. We gained a badge. Happy days :)
They say you're only as happy as your unhappiest child...
Thank god I’ve just got one then😂😂
A very valid observation. And well done to your son!
It cheered me to see his triumph.
