There, I’ve said it.

I’m sick of reading all these “we’re gonna be fucked” posts. Those that tell me all the bad stuff that ‘they’ are going to do.

It’s not that I don’t believe them - I absolutely do, but it’s like writing a story with only the villains in it. It kind of glosses over the fact that good people exist.

Hello???

YOU are here too

YOU get to shape that story!

And what’s more, it’s a ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’!

So, here’s a reminder for those who need it.

YOU have power.

You’re not just some twig floating on a river.

YOU ARE the river.

Politics exists so that we can give our power to people and systems that claim to ‘represent’ us.

Same with all these petitions.

Represent YOURSELF!

Let no-one take away that power!

Opt out instead of opting in.

Opting out IS the new opting in!

You don’t need a label or movement.

All you need to do is acknowledge and use your own power in everything you do.

Be led by love not fear.

Ask yourself;

“what’s the worst that can happen?”

Be prepared to die in your own honour!

Because honouring your own values is the bravest way to go.

The way you respond to every tiny situation you face will shape the future.

Whether it’s personally or on a global level.

Even just writing social media posts.

You can choose to be the ‘Daily Bastard’.

Believe me, it sells.

But is it not better to take the piss, offer strategy or radiate love?

Inform but don’t predict.

If we keep foretelling bleak futures then we WILL secure them.
