There are certain things you don’t want to hear your mother talk about, right?
Y’know….. bowel movements, Alan Titchmarsh, sex and……um……3 minute showers.
What’s that, you say? ‘3 minute showers’?
Yeah, straight up.
I heard my mum mention having a ‘3 minute shower’ to save money this week, and it made ME want one.
To wash away the utter revulsion I feel, that a pensioner who has worked most of her life, should be now having to contemplate cutting back on hot water and sitting in the bloody library to keep warm. She’s by no means the only one either.
I want to hear senior citizens talk of ‘3 minute showers’ about as much as I, myself, want to attempt a 3 minute mile.
Women like my mum voted Tory in the 70’s to counteract the very strikes and power cuts we are now seeing and being threatened with.
They voted Tory in the 80’s and 90’s because the conservatives *allegedly*….…..*conserved* money and stuff….
Truss may try and channel the Iron Lady by choice of blouse, but whereas Maggie famously wasn’t ‘for turning’, Liz has already circled more times than my childhood spaniel before she had a pee.
Thankfully, my mum and many others are finally seeing through this toxic party.
In many ways, I’ve enjoyed seeing the Tories outed as the WEF stooges they are. How painful it must be for their PR teams to know their trump cards of being *good with cash* and halting *crazy* unions are now well and truly relegated to myth status.
Truth is, NONE of these parties work for us, the people.
Sure, they have their little game to play but it’s as real as your geeky mate Colin doing cosplay on the rec.
Re-enacting battles is EXACTLY what they do….or did. As the global reset inches closer, ‘opposition’ becomes a harder act to pull off, because you can’t convince others of being on a different side when you clearly have the same aims.
The lines are not so much ‘blurred’, as ‘smudged to fuck’.
Remember at Nursery when you did a painting, and it accidentally got stuck to your friend’s and they merged into one big mess?
I give you two childish pictures - one painted by Conservatives, the other by Labour.
What’s that, Miss?
A little git called Schwab has knocked the green paint pot over them both and they now look the same?
Ah….yeah….they DO don’t they?
Kinda greenwashed, shit and full of holes.
Didn’t Labour used to be the party of state reliance?
Furloughs, free meals and handouts towards energy bills? Wait a minute though …..it was the Tories that did that.…..damn….I’m confused….
Well, here’s something worth considering.
Are people UNable to take care of their own needs because of dwindling finances and freedoms?
OR
Are they being actively DIS-abled?
When conditions are deliberately created and fostered so an economy cannot flourish, then it’s the equivalent of lining the greenhouse with blackout blinds and spraying it with ‘RAID’, isn’t it?
When perceived personal choice is reduced to shivering your arse off at home or finding your nearest ‘warm bank’, it’s no real choice at all.
But don’t worry, hey?
For every tear you cry, Nanny State and Big Brother will be on hand with the box of Kleenex.
Not to wipe them, mind.
To have a big, fat ‘3 minute’ wank over EXACTLY how well the plan is going.
Oh here we go again, “the plan”, right?*
The collective eye roll is audible.
Yeah, just coincidence that people are getting poorer, sicker and dropping like flies, eh?
Just coincidence, that digital this, that and the other are being rolled out quicker than a knock off carpet?
And now, *sigh* ‘Armageddon’ looms - if we listen to Joe - the guy who successfully embodies both butter fingers and butter candy.
Those of us who lived through the 80’s and 90’s know that Armageddon now comes in handy blister packs.
How convenient to have a trusty staple that can be trotted out whenever the fuckery pantry appears to be bare.
The boy who cried ‘Nuclear War’ is becoming increasingly tiresome.
As the Sugarbabes said “Push the button, let me know” But they won’t will they? Because they’re all full of hot air and keeping people in a perpetual state of fear.
Anyway, it’s okay, cause latest is that Russia is ‘running out of weapons’.
Yeah right!!!
Russia are running out of weapons like James Corden is running down his fridge.
Those of you still naive enough to think this is about party politics - that the good guys will save us - miss the point. We must save ourselves!
Conservatives in a jam?
Pinning your hopes on another leader, another party will prove fruitless. They’re all prize plums.
And the quicker we see it for what it is, the greater chance of us escaping from Klaus & co’s mass produced, pretendy, green pickle.
Actually, mum, on second thoughts, bring back Alan Titchmarsh.
Because, as people freeze and tensions heat, the more folk know their onions, the better.
.
I love the way you write and translate. I would agree it's all a bit mad presently, people are even blaming Putin for the inflated cost of fuel when it was clearly hyped by the conservative party windfall tax. The old and vulnerable we were protecting for two years by limiting our freedom. Are now being sacrificed by the cold and not able to afford food, as the price of that increased as a knock-on effect to the fuel cost extortion racket.
People like Mary Elizabeth Truss are put in positions of power to test the water and are expendable. I doubt she will last 6 months, once enough people work out what Neoliberalism is and realize she is still pushing the oppression Johnson was aiming for. Truss, maybe making sounds or moves to make favourable changes, (to some) but by now we know this is done time and time again and election promises are never met. Neoliberalism seems complicated so it switches people off, but really it's like capitalism on steroids.
Adam Curtis’ film HyperNormalisation, in a nutshell, is based on Russian psychological warfare. A simplified, and often completely fake version of the worldwide or local narratives that we eventually accept as normal.
HyperNormalisation is achieved by secretly funding and giving a mainstream platform to every distracting popular or even unpopular movement, enabling the real agendas to slip under the radar during political and social arguments or confusion. I say this, but you know already, it's not rocket science, we are being deceived.
Taking notice of a vast array of things to work out a pattern and to discern is how I work stuff out. I also know that I am not always right and am prepared to change my perspective if I realize I am wrong. But it is a good way to not invest too much energy in distractions. I think we all know we are being played with this not-so 'great reset' alongside digital currency replacing notes, coins, and the emerging sinister digital technocracy.
It is important to be able to discern, create your own path in life, do the best you can to evolve consciously, and help each other. Even while all this madness we witness is on the go. Because one by one if millions do this, then that will be the start to change a lot for the better, and maybe we get a 6-minute shower.
I would agree, it's like nationwide Stockholm Syndrome. Since I was a child, no politicians ever did what they said they would do and turned out to be corrupt deceivers. Blair seemingly did ok at first, but then it turned out he was one of the most subversive monsters, that humanity has ever been burdened with. I personally think the political system died about 60 years ago and we have been living the illusion of democracy for 2000 years. It really is time to employ people to do a job and if they fail to do it makes them redundant and accountable. So we can get on with better lives without corrupted so-called leaders.
