Just because I felt happy…..and we should share it!
Fire
Somedays, I’m alive
How my touch paper sizzles
Fizzing as soda
I limbo life’s riddles
High-fiving the knives
As my dive boards to water
To summer cold shimmer
With bold heat I offer
My mind, wicker basket
Is filling and filling
I’m taking not asking
Jewelled brilliance spilling
The bird song it kisses
The missiles they miss me
Hogwash is moonwash
The stars they undress me
I’m lit as a beacon
I skittle the ocean
My senses at peak
All my glass ceilings broken
Pregnant with triumph
Expecting confection
Infecting the doubting
Then drinking their nectar
Sound surfs me in harpdom
Yielding foam as a wave
Advancing dry land
And romancing old caves
Immersing and pursing
I flood and I drench
My blood is an orange
My skin, a ripe peach
Words clamber in ears
As seals do on to rocks
Silken selkies that whisper
Time’s secrets forgot
I’m flicked on, alert
Prickling mass of live wire
My canvas of purpose
A wild sea of fire!
