#Congretegate!
You could not make this shit up, could you?
That after a 6 week summer break, we now have a national ‘crisis’.
I say ‘crisis’ in the modern sense of the word, because we feel shortchanged if we go a week without one, don’t we?
A few days sans ‘crisis’ is akin to the climb of a rollercoaster, the opening credits of an action movie.
That “So….what’s next?” mentality starts to take hold.
Life is a channel and we need to know what’s coming up - the new ‘big scary thing’ we must be primed to fear and survive.
So - how terrified should we be?
(Don’t even try to answer that by the way.
It’s not like you’re an ‘expert’!)
Is there a genuine possibility little Harry will end up hacking up dusty phlegm before playtime?
Will Barney be buried in rubble before hometime ?
Personally, I think it’s way more probable and concerning my child may come home with age inappropriate ‘relationships’ reading material or be ‘climate change’ radicalised.
Listen, I don’t want to be seen as mixing it, but latest is, that this dodgy concrete could be an issue in other public buildings, too.
And poor quality erections should worry everyone.
It could mean…..
Pillars and cornerstones we assumed were solid
……..are starting to crumble!
That light weight filler
……….has been dressed up as grandeur.
Structures we invested in
……..might be revealed as hollow!
Well,
When you put it like that…..
Maybe it’s not without foundation.
Can you find any holes in it?
It all sounds frighteningly true.
Yep, it starts with hairline fractures that turn into gaping cavities unable to be easily smoothed over.
They refuse to be whitewashed!
And that’s where we are right now.
The cracks are most definitely starting to show.
Even those who were initially oblivious are noticing.
And in good time …..
Be sure…..
The walls WILL come tumbling down.
So eloquently and accurately put, Julie. It very much seems that these crises are rather too frequent these days. I think I’m fairly certainly immune to them now. It’s become farcical. Thank you for your wisdom and perception, as always x
Ahh yes. I get it. It is that as well… destabilizing and disruptive. Too many changes since COVID first appeared…. an undercurrent of chaos is my feeling since then. Sigh.
