A Squirrel’s Tale
Threats to freedom in a nutshell.
I read a ‘feel good’ news story today.
About a rescued squirrel.
Apparently, he’d been found with a broken leg in a park. After being nursed back to health, the plucky critter had allegedly bonded with his rescuer and didn’t want to leave his side.
Aww…..
Like a scene from a cartoon, they were filmed wandering through town, inseparable. Passers by were petting ‘Alvin’ and having their pictures taken with him.
Cute, right?
Alvin looked well, bless him.
Perhaps a little too well. Looked like he’d been scoffing Snickers instead of scratting about for acorns in the undergrowth.
But, wait a minute, what was that on his body? The little wasitcoaty thing he was wearing? Some sort of homemade ‘squirrel brace’?
I zoomed in and had a closer look.
Alvin was ON A LEAD.
That’s right, fat little fucker couldn’t escape even if he wanted to.
BUT
He didn’t want to.
Allegedly.
Well, pardon me but unless his handler was Dr fucking Doolittle, I’m not sure how that was verified.
Squirrel ‘Fact Checkers’, no doubt.
No, as far as I could see, he had no choice but to accept his fate.
To go where he was bloody well made to. To look bright eyed and bushy tailed for the fella’s TikTok videos.
I glanced at the comments. One or two had picked up on his leash, but concerns were met with
“Well, it’s for his safety, isn’t it?”
Sound familiar?
The same is happening to the world right now. Particularly in the UK.
With one key difference.
Our ‘legs’ are being deliberately broken.
You have to be made weaker and traumatised to make you more easily controlled.
You’ve been sized up.
The harnesses are being prepared.
The lead has been chosen.
It’s just a question of picking a time, popping them on and snapping it all together. Like the ole bastard Savile used to say, ‘clunk click’. He cared about your safety too, apparently………
It’s not just about ‘Digital ID’.
It’s about:
Facial recognition, smart technology, carbon credits, AI, cryptocurrencies.
And most importantly, how they all connect to form something bigger.
Your handlers are waiting to stroke your ego and reward your compliance with ‘convenience’ for being a good boy.
Just like ‘Alvin’.
But this will be no walk in the park.
More ‘iron maiden’ than harness, who knows the hoops we will be expected to jump through, once the virtual chains can no longer be removed.
‘Computer says no’ could become a way of life instead of an occasional frustration.
Unhappy?
Like your Chat GPT customer service agent will give a shit!
But what to do?
I laughed when I saw Boris Johnson say he’d refuse a digital ID. Like he’s ever going to be asked for one! No-one in the big club will be.
Just like the unfortunate squirrel’s limb, many spirits have been crushed. Some will feel the vulnerability and helplessness more than others.
It’s easy to get caught up in the overwhelm and inevitability of it all. I certainly do, sometimes.
We weren’t meant to have owners, handlers and bullshit systems that drain us.
Like ‘Alvin’, we were born free.
But every tiny decision, from paying in cash to withholding biometric data, is a rejection or an acceptance of what we want our future to look like.
Focus on the vision of love you hold for the Earth.
Focus on what you can control, today, right now.
Focus on making one decision at a time.
Feel the grass beneath your feet.
The crisp air in your lungs.
And remember…….
YOU ARE NOT GOING NUTS.
The world is.

Rescued squirrel, Alvin, is man’s constant companion - BBC News

This is the story about him.
Hm……

Well said. I am now pretty much up to speed with all strands of the dystopian netting being deployed and planned for deployment and have now decided to unplug as much as I can on a day by day basis. Needless further anxiety is to be avoided. Non compliance will be my tactic as & when!
