It's quite the picturesque place you live. Perfect for wandering.
You've wrote some truly beautiful stuff this year MOH. You're one of my favourite writers. I don't comment much here, but I relate to a lot of your writing. It's almost scary how much of it I relate to tbh. Your writing houses so many truths. Oftentimes, quite brutal truths. Thank you for sharing it the year through.
Sharing creative stuff online can feel like a bit of an abyss at times. It's all a bit like throwing a stone into a waterfall kind of thing. Does anyone even notice. It's something I've been thinking about a lot lately actually. It can feel like you're hitting a brick wall sometimes with online creativity.
You're work definitely makes a difference though. I'm sure the effect it has on me will be the same effect it has on others. And that's the important thing I guess. As long as it's good for someone.
Stunning pictures (particularly the sunsets, the mist and your shadow). Happy Christmas. Sorry I haven’t commented in forever. Just renewed my subscription for a year though, so will try to get my money’s worth of your wonderful work when I have more free time.
You describe these views so beautifully, also giving a different perspective on them. Love that bare trees “fork and prod the sky” as they don’t have anything else to do in winter. Never thought of it like that before..I will look at things differently now..
You’re so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country..
Gorgeous Julie, I’m a real fan of the golden glow of winter sunsets. What part of Yorkshire are you in…I love the Yorkshire Dales, especially Swaledale 🥰
Beautiful writing on your walk l walked with you.I love your poem its so good and rich of winter great photos.Altogether a great walk. Thanks Julie 😊 x.
This is beautiful- both the prose and the poem that followed. Thank you for sharing your midwinter walk!✨
Thank you. Was a glorious day to see sunrise 😊
Beautiful poem and photos.
Thank you. I saw so many wonderful things that touched my heart.
So descriptive, felt like I was there with you. Thanks for the walk!
That’s what I was hoping for. For it to feel as though someone was accompanying me.
Wow, how well written and photographed was that! Loved it.
Thanks. It’s much appreciated. Easy to get enthusiastic when it’s all so beautiful.

I wish you the best for next year MOH.
Thank you so much. I appreciate all the people who read things I write.
Makes me feel like it’s not all going into a black void, that maybe I’m making a difference in some small way. Happy new year to you xx

Thank you and excuse all my typos. A bit away with the fairies past few days x

Thank you Christian. I always appreciate your thoughtful and well observed comments.
I hope your new job is still working out for you and what you lack in free time you have gained in job satisfaction.
Merry Christmas to you and yours :)
Lovely walk Julie. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Thank you. To you too, lovely xx
I love this post. Thank you.
It appears in Australia one needs a digital ID to partake in SS saw that in the feed this morning.
Good. It’s getting insane this ‘verification’ stuff. Yes Australia are more far gone than the UK I think.
Magic Julie 🧚🏼♀️
Thank you:)

Thank you. I live in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, in Hebden Bridge but up on the tops.
Ah…another gorgeous part of the world 😍
Lovely Julie. Merry Christmas. 🎄
Thank you :)
I used to hate winter. I still do I think. But if anything could make me love the cold and darkness at this time of year it's this post. Beautiful!
Thank you. Glad I went yesterday and not today. It’s a bit grimmer.
Midwinter magic indeed! Oh, those pictures 😍 I can attest to the healing power of long solo walks. Perfectly expressed. Thank you.
They are so calming. I knew I had to clean the house top to bottom before my mum arrived and wanted to get my head in a good zone.
Lovely - thank you for sharing this Julie 🥰
I am pleased you appreciated it, Paul.

Thank you. The scenery inspired me. Glad I went yesterday and not today. A bit murkier this morning.
